InMotion Consulting is the recognized business partnership of Josh Modglin and associates.

A Little History

InMotion Consulting began as Hyaline Engineering back in 2001 with the one intent of assisting companies in improving their efficiency with design technology and to help them “Keep Moving Forward”. It was founded by Josh Modglin who has over to two decades of experience working with Company CAD Management. Previously, Josh had served as Regional and National CAD Manager for multi-national and multi-discipline engineering firms.

Over the years, Josh has partnered with multiple leaders in the field of engineering, design, and CAD Management. With the first partnership in 2009 InMotion was born.

Josh Modglin

Josh is recognized as a leader in the use, training, implementation, consulting, and customizing of Autodesk Infrastructure products. From being an award winning regional CAD Manager for a national Top 500 Engineering Firm, to working with the implementation of AutoCAD Civil 3D by an International Engineering Firm during the software’s infancy.

Josh started with AutoCAD Release 12 over 28 years ago and progressing through each release is now building .Net applications for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2023.

Training

For years, Josh served as the technical editor for the best-selling book, Civil 3D Essentials. He has also written multiple courses for LinkedIn Learning in connection with Autodesk Infrastructure products. Josh has been a top-rated presenter at Autodesk University multiple years.

Software Development

One of Josh's favorite passions is to develop custom software providing enhancements or full stand-alone systems for companies. Being able to see a problem and formulate an automated solution which speeds up a client's workflow ten fold provides a certain satisfaction that is hard to quantify in any secular work performed by Josh. He has created hundreds of custom tools for companies over the decades he has worked in the industry. Recently InMotion released some of these most used tools in both IMGeneral and IMCivil Autodesk plug-in Apps. See IMSoftware

Currently, Josh serves as a Managing Partner for InMotion Consulting. His passion for helping others in the use of Autodesk products is stronger than ever.
